When it comes to capturing creative shots with an Insta360 camera, the right accessories can make all the difference. One of my recent additions has been the Insta360 Enhanced Extendable Selfie Stick, and after putting it through its paces, here’s my honest take..
First Impressions
Straight out of the box, the selfie stick feels well-made yet surprisingly lightweight for its size. It collapses down to a manageable length for carrying in a bag, but extends impressively to give you that extra reach for sweeping landscape shots, overhead angles, or those immersive “impossible” perspectives Insta360 is famous for. Even better, it fits neatly into an airline-approved carry-on bag, so it’s easy to travel with.
Performance & Usability
The biggest selling point here is the length — it gives you far more creative flexibility compared to shorter options. When partially extended, it’s rock-solid, and paired with the invisible stick effect, it makes your 360° footage look smooth and professional.
Fully extended, it can produce drone-like footage without the need for a drone, perfect for epic travel shots, big group photos, or filming from unique vantage points where a drone isn’t allowed.
However, when maxed out, I did notice a slight wobble. It’s nothing that ruins a shot, but if you’re moving quickly or shooting in windy conditions, you’ll need to use two hands for added stability. It’s a small trade off for the versatility the extra reach offers, but it’s worth noting.
