Our Mediterranean cruise adventure aboard the magnificent Celebrity Ascent actually began the day before embarkation, as we needed to meet the ship at Civitavecchia Harbour near Rome. We flew from Stansted Airport with Ryanair, arriving in Italy full of anticipation for the holiday ahead.
